Which arhcery bow should I choose? Hoyt Helix bow ( or eclipse? they the same?) or Win & win TF APEC?

I have recently joined my school’s archery team and i wanted to buy a bow for myself,
i saw a Team USA member use Hoyt Helix bow but i always wanted a W&W TF APEC,
which one is better?
My school provides us with stablizers and sight and KAP T-rex limbs.
my dad said i can just buy the riser and use the other parts my school provides,
what do you guys think? should i buy any stuffs other than the riser?

The Eclipse is actually back in production for 2009, they look better than before. As the poster above said, the Eclipse is the entry level version of a TEC riser. I actually don’t know of any US team member shooting a Helix, Butch Johnson shoots a Matrix, Vic and Brady shoots a proto type Matthews bow that noone else can buy. Khatuna shoots an Elan if memory serves me, Jenny Nichols shoots the PSE x factor. All of the other USAT resident athletes shoot the Hoyt GMX, courtesy of Hoyt.

You can go that route, and just buy the riser, riser is the one you’ll keep forever, so buy something that appeal to you. The T-rex limbs are passable limbs, it’ll get you to shooting in the 270’s in a 300 round.

I’ve never shot the W&W TF APEC, I know a few people that does, and they liked it. I shoot a Helix myself. Risers are all about looks, at least at that level, if you’re comparing a Helix to a Mizar then it’s a different story. But when it gets up to the top of the line riser, all you do is picking the one that looks good to you. If you like the look of the TF Apec, then go for it.
